Clicking a hyperlink in an email message will not open and generates HTTP Error 503: Service Unavailable

When trying to open a link contained within an email message, the BlackBerry device user receives the following the error message in the browser window: HTTP Error 503: Service Unavailable. This happening because the BlackBerry device is trying to open a web page using the BlackBerry Browser even though the BlackBerry device only has service for the Internet Browser.
Resolution: Change browser options as follows:
- Navigate to Options > Advanced Options > Browser.
- Under the Default browser configuration setting, display the menu and select Change Option.
- Click Internet Browser, display the menu, and then click Save.
