Leave a copy on of messages on the server – POP3
by Ken on Dec.12, 2008, under Email
- The following procedures outline how to leave or remove copies of email messages on the messaging server when email messages are being removed from the POP3 messaging server by a subsequent email client.
- When this check box is cleared, the deleted email messages will be removed permanently from the messaging server
- When available, use the option to remove email messages from the messaging server after a specified number of days. This keeps the messaging server from reaching its maximum storage capacity.
- It is recommended that email messages be deleted after a specified number of days to keep the email message count on the messaging server to a manageable number for the BlackBerry Internet Service.
- Email message counts exceeding 1000 in the inbox could cause problems or delays in receiving email messages on the BlackBerry smartphone.
